Jan 5, 2011: Maoist president Prachanda has expressed his strong refutation against the government's request to the UNMIN to provide all the details regarding the peace process including the logistics, weapons in the cantonements and the equipments to monitor the arms.
Prachanda said that the government unilaterally sent the letters to the UNMIN requesting for the matters without having the Maoist consent.
Prachanda expressed such a rage while meeting with the prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday. During the meeting, Prachanda had requested the prime minister to initiate the process to extend the UNMIN's tenure till the completion of the peace process but the prime minister said that it was already agreed among parties including the Maoist to extend the UNMIN's tenure for the last time on last September.
